Every child known. Now you can prove it.
Proximics is AI for your classrooms. It reads your cameras and learning apps, shows each guide who they reached today and who they missed, and shows you that no learner in your school slipped through.
AI will teach the lesson. Guides will teach the child.
Learning software now teaches each child at their own pace. That makes the guide the most important person in the room: the one who notices, encourages, and knows when to step in. That job runs on attention. And in a self-paced room, one guide with 12 or more learners on different work, nobody can see where that attention goes.
- Explains the concept
- Sets the next exercise
- Paces every learner
- Checks what's mastered
- Notices who's stuck
- Encourages the one who won't ask
- Knows when to step in
- Makes every child feel known
What goes wrong today
The learners who ask for help get it. The one who never raises a hand can go a whole day without a guide nearby, and nobody notices, including the guide.
Khan, IXL and ALEKS tell you what got mastered. None of them know whether a guide sat down with that learner this week.
Individual attention is why they chose you. Today there's no way to show them every child gets it.
See every learner. Not a scorecard for your guides.
Each week, see which learners went unreached across your whole school, and catch a slipping learner in week two instead of at the report card. How each guide spent their time stays private to them. That's exactly why guides use it.
On the tour, in the newsletter, at re-enrolment: every child is known, and you have the data to back it up.
A tool that makes a guide's day lighter, not one that watches them. Good guides stay where they feel trusted.
Families are hearing about AI tutors. Show them your school uses AI to make guides better, not to replace them.
Two cameras, one school day, one private mirror.
Your existing cameras, or two small ones we specify. Learners tap in at the door, and everyone becomes a dot on a floor plan of the room.
Bring in progress from the learning apps your learners already use, like Khan Academy, IXL or ALEKS.
After school, Proximics works out where each guide's time went, joins it with learning progress, and picks who needs them first tomorrow.
Know who got your time today, and who needed it.
A second set of eyes for every guide. Nothing to fill in, nothing to remember, and built to read in seconds between learners.
A floor plan of your day: minutes spent near each learner, and who got the least. Replay the day as moving dots. Tap a learner to try it.
The three learners with the least attention and the weakest progress, each with a one-line reason.
Tomorrow's mirror shows whether you reached them.
The camera shows who got your time. The report shows who needed it.
Under each name, one line from their learning app: "IXL: no new skills since Tuesday." Being missed isn't enough to make your first three. Omar got little time yesterday, but he's moving fast, so he isn't on it.
Built to see the room, not to watch children.
By default, learners tap in at the door and everyone is a dot on a floor plan.
Nothing in Proximics, including its AI, guesses attention or mood from how a child looks.
Guides replay their day as moving dots, not footage.
A mirror for the adult. Never a leaderboard, never a teacher evaluation.
No wearables, badges or apps for learners.
The mirror is built after school. Nobody watches the room through Proximics.
What research already shows, and what's ours to prove.
We're pre-launch, so we'd rather show you the evidence than make promises.
Mobile eye-tracking of 50 preschool teachers and 250 children found that teachers’ attention was uneven. Children teachers perceived as less confident speaking, lower in language proficiency, or multilingual were often overlooked.
Across 18 classrooms with 286 middle school students using an intelligent tutor, teachers who received real-time learning and behavior analytics had better student learning outcomes. The authors found signs that analytics could narrow outcome gaps by prior ability.
A second-order review of meta-analyses found positive teacher–student relationships were associated with academic achievement, motivation, executive functions, and well-being.
Whether a private mirror, used every day, keeps shifting a guide's time toward the learners who got the least, and whether that shows up in their progress. We'll publish what we find, including if it doesn't.
Attention is where we start. The whole room is where we're going.
The Guide's Mirror is the first piece. The same cameras and AI can learn what helps each child learn in that room. We'll build it one piece at a time, with our founding schools.
- Where your time went, every evening
- A progress line from each learner's apps
- Your first three, every morning
- Learns each learner's normal and flags early drift
- Finds the groupings and spaces that help each learner
- Shout-outs saved to the learner's story
- A learner profile that follows each child's growth
- A weekly update for families
- Safety alerts as incidents happen, if you opt in
The AI looks across weeks, not just today, and connects what happened in the room with what happened in the learning apps. Each note comes with its reason. It suggests; your guides decide.
Proximics fits your school if:
Software, online courses, workbooks or projects.
For our first pilots.
Under 12 learners per guide? You probably already know every kid. We'll be a better fit as you grow.
Become a founding school.
60 days. Weeks 1–2 are a silent baseline: cameras on, nothing shown. Weeks 3–8, every guide gets their mirror. At the end, you see whether fewer learners went unreached.
First access, a direct line to the founders, and a real say in what we build.
A 30-minute call, honest feedback, and room for two small cameras if yours don't cover the room.
Who's building this
Found the problem while building classroom AI for a school, and has shipped real-time computer vision for schools in production.
Leads product and every conversation with schools, so what we build starts from what guides and owners actually tell us.
Designs everything a guide touches, so a busy guide can read it in seconds between learners.
We check Proximics against a hand count, and we'll publish the error.
